I was foaled on the 21st May 2004 at the famous Fingerpost Stud in Cheshire and my breeder was the late H. H. R. Preston a very nice man indeed. My daddy was Mr Prestons champion riding N. P. S. pony BOTLEIGH MONTE CRISTO and my mum is 80949 Simmit Rose D' Amoure [B].I am a welsh part bred show pony with arab lines in my family. My coat is chestnut and I have a white star in the centre of my head and one 3/4 white sock on my rear left leg.
My fathers daddy is Catherston Night Safe one of the most famous pony stallions produced in the uk. He was a prolific winner in-hand and under the saddle. Catherston Night Safe was the Lloyds Bank Supreme In-Hand Champion at Royal Bath & West and the Supreme Champion at the National Pony Show the West Midlands Stallion Show and New Forest Stallion Show. I hope I can follow in my Grandfathers footsteps.
Some how I fell into the hands of a rouge unregistered dealer has a weaner and after suffering from strangles and being born very fine my future did not look good until the Smith family purchased me when I wasì months old for there young daughter Simone who was only 3 years old at the time. The Smiths really did save me from a uncertain future.
Life has been good for me and I have the best food and care any pony could wish for but my luck has not been to good has I have had a few set backs. When the Smiths gelded me at㺌 months me being me a show off I cleared a 5 bar gate and was lucky not to rip my stitches. This act brought to my owners attention the fact I could jump aswell has having beautiful paces so my owners are preparing me for a career as a possible all rounder.
My luck continued to be against me and my owners has I fractured a shoulder in the field in 2007 and spent 12 months in my box for complete rest. My main trainer Mr Smith as been carefully monitoring my recovery and in the summer of 2008 I was put back into light work. I have been learning to jump aswell has being free-schooled and lightly backed by Simone who is now 7 years old.
I am at present in 2009 being broken to saddle and being prepared for my long awaited show ring debut which will be at the Cheshire County Show at the end of June. My owners are expecting great things and I hope I do not disappoint. We are hopefull that I will get placed in my debut in-hand show but the Smiths are not expecting me to win as I caught my chest when playing the other week and removed some hair so If the judge spots the tiny mark he / she will surely mark me down.
Please come back soon to see new photos and news from my future ventures.
